What’s this?

In this tense thriller set during the 1982 Falklands war, Nick Finch, a national newspaper journalist, teams up with a Foreign Office press officer to battle sinister forces in a race to uncover his great uncle’s World War II secrets and expose one of Britain’s most deadly traitors. This pulsating story crosses timelines and European borders as Finch follows in the footsteps of his eccentric relative to reveal a devastating series of betrayals at the heart of the establishment while coming to terms with difficult truths about his own past. At the same time, he is hounded by ruthless thugs trying to stop him in his tracks. Mingling fact and fiction, the book is inspired by real-life plots to kill Adolf Hitler but extends into Margaret Thatcher’s Britain and culminates in an explosive finale in the centre of London.

The author, writing under the pen name Jonathan Adams, is a semi-retired journalist who spent most of his career working on a variety of national newspapers, including as a political correspondent. He lives with his family in south London. This is his first attempt at fiction.
