As one of many murders she’s assisted with over the years, she has no qualms about his death. But after she befriends Eli, a classmate hiding secrets of his own, she winds up finding a new target—one that will cause her to question her and her mother’s mission as vigilantes. Alternating chapters weave together the story of Lydia’s present-day mission with the story of her unusual upbringing.
Christine Cleary is a Kansas City resident with a degree in literature, a pursuit which was chosen largely as an excuse to read more books. She lives a mostly quiet life with her wife, their cat, and a revolving door of foster kittens. When she’s not writing or helping her local animal rescue, she can often be found crocheting clothes for her dolls.
