The Geometry of Lies reimagines the ancient Greek myth of Pandora’s Box in a contemporary landscape shaped by technological collapse, memory distortion, and spiritual awakening. It reconstructs the mysterious death of Jackie Milam, a tech innovator whose unbreakable encryption technology sparked a global meltdown and was subsequently erased from history. I began writing the novel following the loss of my mother and sister to complications of addiction, this experience deeply informs the book’s exploration of memory, grief, and erasure.
Renowned as one of the world’s foremost lattice cryptographers, Jackie Milam’s dazzling ascent through Silicon Valley tore through headlines, lives, and eventually something far stranger: reality itself. By twenty-six, Jackie is dead. And then, somehow, the world forgets they ever existed.
Except Nathan James.
Understanding the paradox becomes his obsession when his six-year-old daughter disappears and his wife descends into madness. The refuge he built to protect his family becomes a labyrinth of shifting memories, impossible experiences, and questions that refuse to resolve.
As we enter Jackie’s story, we must take care. With every page, we move deeper into a world where heroes may be villains, hope may be madness, and language itself may be an untrustworthy guide.
Some stories change the people who inhabit them. Others change reality itself.
