The Dog Walker

A rom-com thriller in the vein of The Housemaid, Verity, and The Silent Patient: when Libby can’t afford rent, she takes a Craigslist job offering $21,000 for three weeks to walk two dogs once a day in a quiet suburban neighborhood. It sounds simple, until she meets them. Sugar Dumpling and Baby Doll aren’t sweet. They’re aggressive and watchful, and they already seem to hate her. The neighbors are worse, staring too long, whispering, and treating Libby like she’s crazy. No one else walks their dogs, and the dog park sits eerily empty. Meanwhile, Libby tries to juggle a messy love triangle, as her personal life begins to tangle with the mystery of her job, and both start to unravel. By the time she understands why the pay is so high, it’s already too late.
