What’s this?

Ecbatana (modern-day Hamadan, Iran); Sixth Century BCE. Harpagus, a formidable Medean general and kin to King Astyages of the Medes, is ordered to kill Astyages’s newborn grandson, who has been prophesied to overthrow him and rule the Medes as a Persian. Harpagus doesn’t have the heart to kill the babe and tells the king’s trusted herder to care for him. Ten years later, the king learns of Harpagus’s treason and punishes him by the cruelest, most heart-wrenching method. Devastated, Harpagus falls into a state of hopelessness until he is ready to strike back. He sets out on a thirteen-year mission to realize the prophecy Astyages feared most: having him overthrown by a Persian prince.

I have been writing fiction for 13 years and I love it! 🙂
