What’s this?

Maple doesn’t remember anything when she wakes in Fidelity, a frontier town where home-cooked meals and square dances hide a darker undercurrent. She’s got a fierce sense of justice, an irreverent streak that lands her in fights, and mysterious tech that manifests as weapons mid-brawl. As she earns the wary trust of the locals and forges her own identity, she’s drawn to Jex, the town’s quiet protector. His strength and integrity inspire her to become someone more than a quick-to-fight brawler.

But Fidelity isn’t the idyllic haven Maple thought it was. And it’s under siege. Tren, a ruthless city mogul, is bent on “modernizing” the town by any means. He takes an unsettling interest in Maple – and he seems to know more about her past than she does. Jex, meanwhile, is harboring secrets of his own, dangerous secrets that could shatter the future Maple’s trying to build.

As tensions escalate and fragments of Maple’s dark past surface, she must choose whether to chase the memory of who she was or embrace the possibility of becoming someone new. When Tren takes Fidelity hostage, threatening the people she’s come to love, Maple’s fight becomes personal. And the fate of Fidelity hangs in the balance.

I live in Colorado with my family, where I work a boring job during the day and dream of dragons at night. One of my short stories won a Silver Honorable Mention in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest. This is my debut novel.
