Made from carefully combined genetics, Jinesse’s life was planned before she took her first breath. Her mentor trains her to one day take over his position as elite advisor. Adept at mind reading, her training has yet to equip her to see the future when an unsettling assignment alters her course. Can life return to how it was?
Deep under the ocean are many habitats, referred to as Drops. Inside each Drop is a large city of advanced humans whose lineage dates back to ancient times. Their culture thrives through advanced technology and a rich heritage, making use of their deep understanding of time, consciousness, and human potential.
Following a path that was defined before she was born, Jinesse is learning to be the the next Rector, the highest advisor to leadership in her city. She’s developed many of her skills, but has struggled when it comes to seeing potential futures paths for those she’s connected to.
An unsettling assignment leaves Jinesse questioning the motives of those around her and strengthening her resolve to acquire the abilities she needs to fulfill her purpose. As the assignment unfolds, she finds herself grappling with who she is versus who she wants to be.
Andrea writes philosophical science fiction stories full of ideas that keep her up at night. She lives in Alabama with her family and adorable puppy. When not writing she likes to solve puzzles, spend time with family and friends, expose herself to new ideas, or work on crafting. Some of her favorite puzzles are sudoku and minesweeper. She has more craft supplies, and empty notebooks, than she’d like to admit, and is always drawn to new ones.
