What’s this?

This is an adult, character-driven mythic science-fantasy novel complete at approximately 120,000 words. It examines the effects of a long war in a spacefaring, ritualised civilisation sustained by ancient, semi-sentient energy sources. Technology and mysticism are intertwined, and psionic and spiritual forces directly impact the characters’ lives.

This novel explores themes of grief, sacrifice, faith versus agency, and war as inheritance rather than glory. Power has a cost, and salvation is uncertain. The story builds toward a large-scale climax in the later chapters, followed by a quieter final chapter focused on survival, aftermath, and the collapse of long-held beliefs.

The ending is intentionally ambiguous but emotionally resolved. It is not a cliffhanger. Readers should expect a reflective tone, unanswered questions, and space to sit with the consequences. This is a dense, atmospheric story that prioritises emotional resonance and mythic scale over fast pacing.
