Despite her preparations and prayers to the divine Bounties for a successful maiden voyage, a violent rebellion closes down all major cities, turning Edrid and her six insufferable passengers into refugees overnight. Making matters worse is Connick Hillesland, her unfriendly driver, and a suspicious, devastatingly handsome hitchhiker, who both seem to know more about the uprising than they let on. Within days the group is swept up in a scheme that forces them on the run and reveals the ungodly truth behind the nation’s peace and prosperity.
Funny how creativity hits hardest in the most unexpected ways—like this corporate motion designer, after years of painting and trying to put her animation degree to use, realizing the art she’s sought for all this time is the art of writing.
