In Berlin, Germany, split by ideology and stone, five university students search for love, purpose, and a future that often feels just out of reach.
On the freedom side of the Berlin Wall, Amy longs to bring home her love from the Vietnam War. Nathan pours his brilliance into defending Britain through innovation. Brigitte ascends Berlin’s corporate world, determined to succeed. John, ever watchful behind his quiet demeanor and brown skin, undertakes covert work with a purpose. And Claire discovers that her heart’s deepest needs may not be what she once believed.
But just across the wall, in the shadows of East Berlin, Stefan dreams of more than poverty and repression. With nothing but grit and a grammar school education, he dares to risk everything—for freedom, for dignity, for a future. When Stefan’s path collides with theirs, each of them must confront the cost of freedom—and what they’re willing to sacrifice for love, truth, and each other.
